***PLEASE READ!!!: there are some weird shadow things going on in this picture and there is also a yellowish light being cast on him from the left. Thats why this cheek (on our left) looks kind of funny. The ref. pic makes sense of it) So dont tell me about it because everyone has already and i know!!! thanks.

So, I'm really really happy with how this turned out!!! I didnt even know that i was capable of doing a digital painting like this!!! It was a lot of fun, and i surprised myself!!

So information about who this dude is...Obviously his name is Keith Harkin. I love him!! He's in a group called Celtic Thunder, and they sing Irish/Celtic songs...lots of traditional stuff. They are freaking amazing. There are 5 of them, ranging ages from like 17-40ish. Keith is 22(?). They all have incredible voices, and I am obsessed with them. If you've never heard of them..well you have now and go check them out!! go here >[link] and listen to a few songs and be amazed!!! then spread the good word! buy the CD!

...that sounded like a commercial...

anyway...I've always wanted to try doing a digital painting-portrait of someone and when i discovered Celtic Thunder, I decided to do this dude. partly because i liked the ref pic..partly because i think he is gorgeous...and partly because i love his voice and i think this group needs more attention!!
There are a few things that are not quite right, but i am still very proud of myself...

Haha well his is a good voice to have in your head!

I spent a few months in Northern Ireland a few years ago, actually in his hometown! I was determined to find him, but I didnt.

He left to tour in America before I found him. lol But I met a few people who knew him tho, and his cousin! Haha. I met a kid who has played a few gigs/gone surfing with him, and I said something about Rosy Surf Boards (which is where Keith gets his boards from) and the kid was like...How do you know that????
I was like..wow I just totally revealed that I'm a fan girl. *face palm*
Haha but it was glorious! I also walked past Damian's house! Idk which one it was, but a woman told me that I did sooo....good enough for me!

And yeah, he's seen it.

I used to be friends with him on facebook, and I tagged him in it, and he commented on it! But its not there anymore..cuz he went through and deleted all the people he didn't actually know from his friends, a few years ago. lol Which is understandable I guess, but I was a bit sad. haha
